HomeGauge collects personally-identifiable information when you register for a HomeGauge account, when you use certain HomeGauge products or services, and when you visit webpages hosted by SHGI related to HomeGauge. For example, when you register with HomeGauge, we ask for your name, email address, mailing address and zip code. In addition, use of the HomeGauge product provides us with information produced or collected about the home in question as part of the home inspection and inspection report production process.
HomeGauge may send personally-identifiable information provided by you to other parties when: we have your consent to share the information; we need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested; and when we respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process.
We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, research, and to improve our products, services and customer communications. Examples of such use are:
- Personal information we collect allows us to keep you posted on HomeGauge’s latest product announcements, software updates and upcoming events. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt-out anytime.
- Personal information, as well as information collected via the inspection software, helps us create, develop, operate, deliver and improve our software and other services we provide.
HomeGauge will not share personally-identifiable information, including with our Affiliates, outside of the reasons above, and we won’t use your personally-identifiable information, or provide it to third parties, to market unrelated products to you unless you opt-in to receive such offers.
Your HomeGauge Account Information is password-protected for your privacy and security. In certain areas HomeGauge uses industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions.
